Will this void my MacBook warranty? ▼
Nope. MacPet only reads the accelerometer through standard macOS APIs. No system files are modified. Your warranty is perfectly safe.
Will it trigger during normal typing? ▼
No! The sensitivity is tuned to ignore typing vibrations. Only deliberate taps, slaps, and shakes trigger reactions. You can adjust it.
Does it work on Intel Macs? ▼
Currently requires an Apple Silicon MacBook (M1 or later) for accelerometer support. Intel and desktop Macs are not supported yet — we're exploring options for a future update.
Does it drain my battery? ▼
Barely. The accelerometer reads at ~12Hz and the SwiftUI animations are lightweight. You won't notice any battery impact.
